Craig Lapka is Court Thorn’s Business Manager, Craig joins us from a career of over 25 years in banking however he isn’t completely new to GP Practice having spent many an hour in his father's Practice, as the son of a GP.
As a former Bank Manager working for well known High Street Banks, Craig has amassed a huge amount of valuable skills in communication and management. Craig thrives in a community, people centric environment, this gives him the passion and enthusiasm for a challenging role within a busy GP Practice.
You will often see Craig around the Practice, he is always on hand to support the team here at Court Thorn and is often seen putting his DIY skills to good use by fixing and implementing user-friendly additions.
DIY is only one of many hobbies Craig has outside of work. He is a passionate traveller and has experiences of more than 20 different countries. Nature and walking are also big passions for him, he reached the summit of both Mt Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp, which tested his physical & mental resilience.
Craig describes himself as a ‘proud husband’ and ‘family man’, his 3 young children keep him very busy at home. He is also an avid player of analytical & strategic games such as chess, 80’s board games and more recently sports gaming.
