Having worked at Court Thorn as Dr Grainger’s first GP Registrar, I jumped at the opportunity to join as a Partner at the beginning of September 2017. I knew from the minute I stepped into the Practice that I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.
Originally from near Lancaster, I completed my Undergraduate Training at Liverpool University (Lancaster Campus) and went on to complete Postgraduate Training in Carlisle and Eden. I’ve lived in Cumbria since 2012 and feel so at home here.
Within the practice, I am Lead for Safeguarding Adults and Children, am passionate about raising awareness about Domestic Abuse and also Lead for Military Veteran Support.
Additionally, I act as Clinical Supervisor for Foundation Year 2 Doctors and provide supervision for Newcastle Medical Students. I am also an examiner for Newcastle Clinical Examinations.
Outside of work, I’m married with 2 children and 2 step-children. I enjoy music, cooking and making memories with my family.
It’s an absolute pleasure to work at such a fantastic practice and an honour to be part of the team providing Gold Standard Care to all our patients.
